I’ve spent 10+ years reading rooms, rivers, and editorials — and the last several turning that into product design.

Before design, I guided rapids in Cañon City, translating fast-changing terrain into clear, calm direction for people trusting me to get them through safely. Editorial and runway work sharpened my eye for composition, visual detail, and how something reads to an audience. Add years across Apple, Verizon, Quince, hospitality, and freelance design, and the through-line is simple: I design with a ground-level read on how real people experience a product, a space, or a moment.

Two seasons guiding class III–IV rapids taught me that good design doesn’t remove complexity — it guides people through it until it feels simple.
